Plush with a Purpose

Never though I’d be one of those parents who feel they want or need to comment on the latest greatest product for their little ones. Of course, my youngest is only 7 years old so I shouldn’t be surprised at how many new play things hit the market each year. Couple that with the fact my oldest child just made me a grandpa and now I get to go through the whole “what’s the hot toy of the season?” scenario all over again.

Well, imagine my pleasant surprise when I came across a wonderful new item that any boy or girl would love to have (and it actually doesn’t involve video games)! I’m talking about “pillow pets”. Maybe you’ve seen the ad on TV. I know my 7 yr. old has. These “pillows” are stuffed animals (plush) that fold together using velcro. They’re soft, cuddly companionship for any child and are an excellent value for parents. Bring them along in the car, take them to a sleepover, a camping trip, whatever… They are machine washable and all 22 “pets” bring security to whomever cuddles up with them.
