Real Leather

Any tips on being able to tell if it’s real leather??

I’ve got this “leather” sofa in my home but not for sure if it’s real leather. It used to be my brother’s and gave it to me. Anything I should look/feel for on it? I’ve never owned a piece of furniture like this before. It isn’t suede like leather(two belts, a watch, and a jacket).

the smell, there is nothing like the smell of real leather. sofa should have a label on it with info on the care of it.
