The way to travel to graduate school?

I’m going to a graduate school in Chicago from California. If I have a lot to bring with me, what is the best way for me to travel? Car, plane or train?

When getting my daughter from LA to he undergrad school in Pittsburgh, she took the train ( through Chicago) and it was a blast for her.

However a plane is fastest.

When she went off to grad school in West Virginia, we god her a car here in LA and we did a 4 day road trip there. We had a blast and she was able to take a lot of stuff.
