What happens if I connect a 120V Wii adapter in a 230V socket?

If it burns out, what burns out the adapter only or the wii device as a whole?
I have already checked the label, and it says 120V, but i already plugged it into a 230V, did the adapter burn out only or the wii too?

It may be a universal adapter but you will need to know for sure.

Look at the adapter closely – some are designed for universal voltages – it will say something like 100 – 240 VAC if it is universal.

If you are not sure – don’t risk it – you could damage the game.
